Position Overview: The Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Executive for our Manufacturing Quality Assurance (MQA) team, focusing on engine and transmission assemblies in Mumbai. This is a critical, on-site role where you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of product quality. You will analyze customer complaints and line rejections, drive continuous process improvements (Kaizens), and conduct regular process and product audits. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a manufacturing environment and a passion for achieving first-time-right quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer complaints and assembly line rejections to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous process improvements (Kaizens) on the Transmission assembly line to achieve consistent product quality.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP/SOS) through periodic process audits.
  • Conduct regular product audits to verify compliance with quality standards.
  • Monitor MCAR (Material Conformance and Authorization Request) and CVL (Critical Vendor List) response times.
  • Resolve critical ORC (Order-Related Complaint) issues promptly.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: A Diploma or Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Production, or Automobile Engineering.
  • Experience: A minimum of 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing, production, or quality role.
  • Industry Background: Experience in the Automotive, Tractor, Construction, or Engineering & Capital Goods industries is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control.
    • Experience with auditing and process improvement.
    • Familiarity with SAP is an advantage.
