Position Overview: The Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Commissioning Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading all commissioning activities for projects of low to medium complexity, with a strong focus on substation testing and commissioning. You will ensure that all on-site activities are completed efficiently and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams and customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement all commissioning activities at project sites.
  • Conduct risk and opportunity assessments during the commissioning phase to ensure the successful implementation of the plan.
  • Coordinate with installation supervisors, site managers, and customers for all on-site commissioning activities.
  • Lead and perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for products at vendor/supplier locations.
  • Prepare Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and lessons learned reports for any incidents related to commissioning works.
  • Ensure all commissioning activities comply with required safety regulations, contractual requirements, and international standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: A Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in Substation Testing & Commissioning.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
    • The ability to effectively lead, manage, and energize cross-functional teams.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
