Key Responsibilities
Failure Analysis & Troubleshooting
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex faults on PCBAs down to the component level.
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators to identify root causes of failures.
- Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for field return modules and implement effective corrective actions.
Repair, Rework & Testing
- Perform high-quality repair and rework on faulty PCBAs, including replacing SMT and through-hole components.
- Execute expert-level soldering and desoldering of fine-pitch components.
- Conduct functional, environmental, and stress tests to verify repairs and ensure boards meet quality standards.
Collaboration & Process Improvement
- Work closely with design, quality assurance, and production teams to provide feedback and resolve recurring failures.
- Maintain detailed troubleshooting records, test results, and failure analysis summaries.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance troubleshooting efficiency and product reliability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related technical field.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of direct experience in PCBA troubleshooting, repair, and testing.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of electronic circuits, schematics, and component functions.
- Proficiency in using test equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and function generators.
- Essential, high-quality soldering and desoldering skills for both SMT and through-hole components.
