Field Service Engineer – Robotics Company
Job Summary:
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing robotic systems to ensure peak performance. Your expertise will enhance customer satisfaction and support the advancement of automation technology.
Responsibilities:
🔹 Installation & Setup
- Install and configure robotic systems at customer sites
- Understand customer requirements and tailor installations accordingly
🔹 Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform routine maintenance for optimal functionality
- Diagnose issues, replace faulty components, and resolve technical problems
- Collaborate with remote teams for complex troubleshooting
🔹 Testing & Calibration
- Conduct system tests and calibrations to ensure performance standards
- Optimize system efficiency and accuracy
🔹 Customer Support
- Address technical inquiries and concerns
- Train customers on operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting
🔹 Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain service reports and technical documentation
- Provide feedback on common issues and system improvements
🔹 Remote Support & Safety Compliance
- Assist customers with troubleshooting remotely
- Follow safety protocols when working with robotic systems
🔹 Travel
- Visit customer locations for installations, maintenance, and repairs
Qualifications:
✅ Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering (or equivalent experience/certifications)
✅ Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical components in robotic systems
- Experience in mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of sensors, motor controllers, and encoders
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Awareness of robot safety protocols and emergency procedures
