Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, clean, and transform backend data for reporting and automation use cases.
- Assist in building visually clean, client-facing dashboards using tools like Looker Studio, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for performance and clarity across various projects.
- Understand API structures and assist in fetching, interpreting, and preparing API data for pipelines.
- Help create clear documentation for logic, metric definitions, and stakeholder-friendly explanations.
- Support data audits, testing, and validation across data pipelines and visualization layers.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Analytics) or equivalent practical experience.
- Technical Skills:
- Mandatory: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SQL (must be comfortable with joins, filters, aggregations, and window functions).
- Familiarity with APIs (reading JSON, basic GET/POST logic).
- Experience with Google Sheets/Excel.
- Familiarity with at least one data visualization tool (Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau).
- Preferred Knowledge: Basic understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery (BQ), and Python is a plus.
- Attributes: Strong analytical thinking, effective written communication, and the ability to work with raw, imperfect data.
