Position Overview: The Role
We are seeking a diligent and technically skilled Associate Project Engineer to join our HVDC team in Chennai. This is a dynamic and independent role where you will be responsible for the implementation of Control & Protection hardware solutions for HVDC plants. You will prepare design specifications, manage cubicle design, and support on-site installation and commissioning activities around the world. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a background in substation engineering to specialize in the advanced field of HVDC.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Design Specifications, Overview Diagrams, and Concept Clarifications for HVDC control and protection systems.
- Manage cubicle design, including the integration of all hardware components, and coordinate with manufacturers.
- Create the Bill of Material (BOM), terminal diagrams, cable lists, and cable termination schedules.
- Provide necessary support during Functional Performance tests and Site Commissioning.
- Participate in or lead design review meetings to identify and correct design errors and process inefficiencies.
- Ensure all engineering deliverables meet project schedule dates and customer requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: A Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in Power Generation EBoP or Substation Engineering of HV/EHV substation projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of control and protection hardware design.
- Proficiency with software tools like AutoCAD, ELCAD, and MS Office.
- Attributes:
- High ability to work in a multi-national and multi-cultural team.
- A quick learner who is flexible to work under tight schedules.
- Good communication skills.
